Stock and Wire Transfer
Gift Instructions
Thank you for making a gift of stock to Glenwood
School. Giving stock is a great way to avoid capital gains
on the appreciated value of your stock, while making a difference
in the life and future of a disadvantaged child in our community.
When we receive notice of your stock gift and date transfer
we will immediately send a written confirmation to you. In
approximately two to three weeks, after we receive official
documentation of your gift from our broker, we will send an
official acknowledgement letter that indicates fair market
value of your stock gift. This value is determined by averaging
the high and low values of the stock on the date of transfer
and then multiplying this mean value by the number of shares
donated.
The exact instructions you need to complete a transfer of
cash securities to Glenwood School are shown below.
Note: All deliveries MUST include Glenwood’s
name and Schwab account number. (Prior to transfer please
call Patricia McDonald @708-756-6633 to confirm that you have
the most current copy of the following information).
