Glenwood offers a summer academic
enrichment program for selected students based on results
of their annual reviews or educational evaluations. They receive
support in reading, phonics, language, spelling and math skills.
They also learn to enhance their motor skills, listening skills
and visual training skills, as well as overcome attention
deficits.
An expanded recreation program also is offered during the
summer months. Students participate in intramural activities
held on campus. Field trips to museums, zoos and other places
of interest coincide with what is being taught in summer school.
Students also can participate in arts and crafts, ping-pong,
gardening, table games, calisthenics, needlepoint, swimming,
biking, computer lab, library programs and woodworking. The
activities can vary somewhat between the two campuses.
